Terms of Use

By using 30K, you agree to a simple set of terms. The short version — your data is yours, the AI is a writing tool not a therapist, and the app is provided as-is.

These terms are an agreement between you and Andrei Blokhin, an individual based in Cyprus (“we”, “us”), the operator of the 30K iOS app and related services (“30K”). By using 30K you agree to what’s described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Who can use 30K

30K is intended for users 16 and older. By using the app you confirm you’re at least 16.

Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or as an anonymous user. You are responsible for keeping your device and Apple ID secure. If you sign in anonymously, losing access to the device may mean losing access to the account — we cannot recover it for you.

Your content

Everything you write, record, or attach in 30K — text, voice notes, photos — is yours. You keep full ownership.

You grant us a limited permission to store, sync, and process this content only to operate the app’s features for you: keeping it synced across your devices, transcribing voice notes, generating reflections or chapters, and so on. We don’t use your content for advertising, and we don’t use it to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture of who touches your data.

You are responsible for what you write. Don’t put content into 30K that you have no right to share (someone else’s copyrighted material, leaked private data, etc.).

AI features are a tool, not advice

30K offers optional AI features — voice transcription, photo recognition, reflections, chapter generation, summaries. They are powered by OpenAI and produce automated output based on what you write or record.

The AI in 30K is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor. Its responses are generated text, not professional advice, and they can be wrong, incomplete, or out of place. Don’t rely on them for medical, mental-health, legal, or financial decisions.

If you are in crisis or considering harming yourself, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline. 30K is a journaling tool — it is not equipped to help in an emergency.

You can turn AI features on or off in onboarding and in Settings at any time.

Subscriptions and payments

30K offers a paid subscription via Apple’s In-App Purchase. By subscribing:

  • You’re billed through your Apple ID at the price shown at purchase.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policy — we cannot issue refunds directly.
  • Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel beforehand.

If we change subscription prices or features, we’ll let you know in advance and you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Things not to do

When using 30K, please don’t:

  • Try to break into, reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the app or our servers.
  • Attempt to access another person’s account or content.
  • Use the AI features to generate illegal content, content that harms others, or content that violates OpenAI’s usage policies.
  • Use 30K to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.

If you do, we may suspend or terminate your account.

Your data, exporting, and deletion

You can export everything as a ZIP archive at any time, and delete your account from within the app. Deletion is permanent. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Service availability

30K is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We try to keep the app stable and your data safe, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, that bugs will be fixed, or that the app will always be available.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features (or the whole service) — we’ll give reasonable notice for major changes when we can.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress arising from your use of 30K. If we are held liable despite this, our total liability won’t exceed what you paid us in the past 12 months.

Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law (for example, your statutory consumer rights if you live in the EU/UK).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The “updated” date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in-app or by email; continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes that can’t be resolved by emailing us first will be handled by the competent courts of Cyprus. If you live in the EU, this doesn’t override your right to bring a claim in your country of residence under local consumer-protection law.
